Choose your Locking System & Handleset

DSA offers a variety of locking systems, handlesets, and hardware accessories for our doors. Below you can get more information on which handlesets are recommended for our doors and which are available for Rated units. For in-depth information on our hardware options, contact your DSA Representative for further information.

Hardware Selections:

Multipoint Locking Systems

Multipoint locks are recommended for doors 8’0″ and taller, to provide additional stability to your door and additional security to your home.

Ashland® Multipoint Lock System

  • Our Ashland® 3-Point Multipoint Lock System features three locking points: two vertical shootbolts and a 1″ deadbolt.
  • To engage the shoot bolts and secure the door in the frame, handle must be pulled up 35°.
  • Locking system is made of stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance.
  • Faceplate extends the full length of the door with 1” top and bottom shoot bolts for security and structural integrity.
  • American Cylinder Above Lever, 3-5/8” Center to Center. Backset 2-3/8” (compatible with Emtek Configuration #4).
  • The Ashland is the only Multipoint Lock certified for our Coastal (DP-50 & Impact) Rated Doors.
  • The Ashland PS8 Passive Lock is available for double doors and required on all Impact Rated Double Door units.
  • Compatible with our three EMTEK® Lever Handle options (see Multipoint Lock Handlesets).
  • Ashland Multipoint Lock is not available for the following DSA Collections: Breezeport, Dutch, Porthole, Meadowlands, Pinehurst (single door), Bifold Doors, and our Wynstellar French Doors.
  • Both the Ashland Active & Passive Locks are recommended for custom DSA doors that exceed 8 feet tall.

GU® Secury™ 3-Point Lock System

  • The GU Secury 3-Point Lock does not require lifting the lever handle to engage the locking points. By simply closing the door, the latches automatically engage for additional security, better weather sealing, & structural integrity to reduce door warpage.
  • Once deadbolt is engaged, the top & bottom latches will be blocked, becoming a triple deadbolt locking system.
  • American Cylinder Above Lever 3-5/8” Center-to-Center. 2-3/8” Backset.
  • The GU 3-Point Lock is the only Multipoint Locking System available for E-01C Doors (Single True-Radius Doors). Custom E-01C units must be at least 8ft tall to be compatible for Multipoint.
  • The GU 3-Point lock is compatible with our three Emtek Lever Handlesets, the Berkley Thumblatch handle, and the Danalock V3 smart lock. (See Multipoint Lock Handlesets and Smart Lock for Multipoint).
  • Active Locking System only. Double Doors will use standard flush bolts for the passive door panel when purchased with the GU 3-Point Lock.
  • Locking system is not available for the following DSA Collections: Dutch, Bifold Doors, and our Wynstellar French Doors. Locking system is also not available for Coastal Rated (DP-50 & Impact) Units.

GU® Europa™ Rhino-Hook Bolt Lock System

  • GU Europa Rhino Lock is included and required on all Bifold Units and French Doors featured in our Wynstellar Collection. Passive Cremona Lock is not compatible with Bifold Doors.
    • Active locking mechanism uses three tempered steel hooks, which lock in an upward direction for maximum security and protection.
    • American Cylinder Below Lever 3 5/8” Center-to-Center (Emtek Config. #1). Backset 1 5/8”.
  • GU Europa Rhino-Hook Bolt Lock with Cremona Passive 2-point Lock is included on all French doors.
    • Cremona Passive Lock uses 2 top & bottom shoot bolts engaged by lifting the passive handle up 45°.
  • Compatible only with GU® Ferco Lever Handlesets.

GU® Ferco Allegro Lever Handles

ALLEGRO HANDLES
  • Only handleset available for the GU Europa & Cremona Multipoint Locks included with our Bifold and Wynstellar French Doors
  • Handleset can be installed with GU Europa Rhinobolt Lock on any non-rated DSA door upon request.
  • All double door units require both the Active & Passive lock with no option of flush bolts.
  • Emtek Configuration #1: American Cylinder Hub Below Handle, 3 5/8” Center-to-Center, 1 5/8” Backset
  • 1 3/16” X 9” Brass Trim
  • Satin Nickel and Black finishes

GU® 3-Point Lock with Berkley Thumblatch Handle

  • Interior lever or knob available.
  • Berkley handleset is sold with GU 3-Point Lock and is not sold separately.
  • The GU lock mechanism paired with the Berkley is made specifically for the thumblatch engagement.
  • The handleset is not compatible with any other multipoint lock and can not be installed on a existing slab prepped for the lever compatible GU lock or Ashland Multipoint.
  • Active & Dummy Handle available
  • Berkley Thumblatch with an Interior Knob is the only available handle option for using a Multipoint Lock on our Breezeport Doors.
  • Not available for Coastal Rated units (DP-50 & Impact)
